INTERIM HOUSING IN THE
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY
The San Gabriel Valley Regional Housing Trust (SGVRHT) and San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) have partnered with cities in the region to plan and build three sites of tiny home bridge housing with a 105 beds for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley. We are currently working with the City of Azusa to develop a fourth site, which will have an additional 25 beds for individuals.
At these sites, each resident gains the safety and stability that comes with having a roof over their head while being connected to permanent housing. The ability to lock a door at night is instantly life changing as residents are finally able to sleep without fear of the dangers faced on the streets. While living in the tiny homes, residents receive case management and housing navigation services to help them get connected to permanent housing and any other services they need.
GET INVOLVED AT THE SITES
Volunteering, donating, or completing a service project at the tiny home sites is an easy and rewarding way to assist your unhoused neighbors. If you are interested in getting involved at the sites, please fill out our sign-up form and we will get back to you with more information.
If you are interested in volunteering or doing a service project, or have questions about the sites, please contact Meredith Sharkey at bsalazar@sgvrht.org. We look forward to working with you!
